DeepMove Chess (“we”, “our”, or “the app”), published by BT Apps, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

DeepMove Chess does not require an account, email address, or sign-in. The app does not collect, store, or share personally identifiable information with us. Data used by the app is limited to what is needed for gameplay and settings, specifically:

• Local game data: Statistics (wins, losses, draws, move counts, Elo-related progress) and preferences (theme, pieces, avatar, sound, vibration, time controls, and similar settings) are stored only in private app storage on your device.
• WiFi / local network (optional): When you use local multiplayer, the app uses network discovery and your local WiFi connection so devices on the same network can find each other and exchange moves. This traffic stays on your local network.

2. Permissions

• Internet & network access: Used for local WiFi multiplayer and standard Android networking APIs.
• WiFi state / multicast: Used to discover nearby DeepMove Chess rooms on the same network.
• Vibration: Optional haptic feedback during play (can be disabled in Settings).

The app does not request location access, contacts, microphone, camera, or phone identity permissions.

3. Data Usage

• Game analysis (including Stockfish) runs entirely on your device. Your board positions are not sent to external analysis servers.
• WiFi multiplayer moves are sent directly between devices on your local network. We do not operate matchmaking servers and do not receive those moves.
• No personal data is sold or shared.

4. Third Parties

DeepMove Chess does not use third-party analytics or advertising tracking services.

5. User Control

• You can change or clear preferences from within Settings.
• You can leave or stop WiFi multiplayer at any time from within the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes locally stored statistics and settings from your device.

6. Children

The app is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available within the app and on our website.
